“A place to house our art”

Whare Toi Tangata Gallery is a Community owned venue for local emerging, established Maori Artists and invited Artists to show their work.

He Iwi Kotahi Tatou Trust knew that the Gallery was an important element that would add value to the other businesses in “Te Puna I Keteriki”

It’s where people can share and enjoy their creativity, inspire each other and perhaps take that first leap into a public arena.

For local Maori it is a huge step toward determining how our work is displayed, viewed by the public and appreciated.
